Desserts that u couldn't resist!!!

I always stamped myself as “Desserts Freak”. Although I’m not a junkie (can’t stand on dried n fattening snack, but I always fall into ice-creams and cake. People kept telling me that it’s a killer and definitely harmful. However, it’s ease my heart when I feeling blue, flourish my day when I’m in good mood

Recently, I found some places that served really, I mean REALLY nice and tasty desserts. Here are some options I taken (Actual taste and proportion may vary from pic.)

Happening Nite at Pavilion, KL

Last few days, Boss got an invitation fr Little Irene, P.A merchandiser to attend their new Padini Concept Store opening party at Pavilion, kl.

As usual, they presenting SEED Fall 2007 Collection during opening party. Literally, people kept telling me that this new Padini store’s concept is completely different from what they had before, the whole idea is clean-cut, modern n yet contemporary, plus u could enjoy free flow wines n beverages too! Now we are talking, yeah… J

I’m kinda like the entire new concept of SEED collection, it’s more mature and classy, different of what they had from the past (D&G inspired-supporterL) and they now adopted ideas from latest Burberry collections! Check it out if you have any chance walk into the stores, nationwide.

We arrived there around 7.30pm, which surprisingly early; the show started around 8.30 cos its jammed like hell around kl golden-triangle area during off working hour! Apparently, we skipped dinner and started to drink and chatted, but the whole ideas is SHOPPING!!

Loved the color range of accessories ;P

I just can’t get enough of the new-in-store Vincci + and Vincci Accessories. Vincci + is a new shoes line that the price range is slightly higher than regular Vincci brand. The accessories for Vincci+ are pretty and precise, mainly imported from Korea and Thailand. For Vincci Accessories, it’s focus on colorful and trendy accessories for youngsters, yet in affordable price.

Long time waiting for fashion show, but still no-show :(

Finally here its comes, hey, this model looks cool to me

Huh, a little gal standing at the front row, she has a very good potential to be the next Amber Chia.

Glad to meet Ben, again

We having fun times, don't we?

Overall, the whole show was great n we really enjoy ourselves much, but not much finger food to be served, a little flaws…. L

The Apartment ~ cool place to hang out

Clock ticks almost 6 n I haven’t decided wat to eat, where and who going dinner with me, yet… Kenneth was been busy wif his coaching stuff recently and I already done all my crazy over-time jobs… Literally, I made some calls almost to everyone that I closed with, begging them to go dinner wif me (lesson 1: pls treat ur good pals nice so they will always be there whenever u needed them).

Don't u think it's cute for a menu like this ;)

However, we planned to meet later after work and guess who the dinner planner is, pick me!! Nevertheless, I had chosen “The Apartment” restaurant & lounge, located at the walk, The Curve.

People Mountain, People Sea (*_*")

It’s opened for the past 2 mths and although it’s weekdays but u really can see crowd here, though. It might be breaking fast period or else the food must be nice. So, I’ve ordered a starter, 2 dinner meals, 2 beverages (a green apple juice and a lemonade) and a dessert for tonite’s finale.

Loved the menu, make me think of my maths notes

I’ve ordered Duck & Mango Salad, but it’s sold out. Then I changed it to Bangkok salad costs RM14.90 (waiter highly recommended). It’s actually a plate of mixed veggie, mostly cilantros, capsicums with special thai dressing on top of toasted chopped cashew nut.

Looks nice...

Honestly, I dun really like it, the dressing is ok, but it tasted like a bunch of cilantro that served on top of teo-chew steamed fish, yuck!

The Steak taste that won't forget it...

Cho had a Hampstead Steak, RM 35.90 it’s pan-fried sirloin with mash potatoes and green bean tossed with mustard dressing. Meat cooked in medium rare so it’ll became juicy and chewy. I really like the mash potatoes cos it’s moist and smooth. Good combination.

"Chicken In A Bag", RM18.90, nice name :P

I ordered this cos its sound fun, called “Chicken In A Bag”. Its chicken breast with potatoes, leeks, beans and tossed with whole grain mustard and cream in an aluminum foil and baked about 10 mins. It tasted good and u actually can feel full when u done half of it.

Strawberry & Mint Parfair, can't get enough of u, baby...

Here’s my dinner’s finale, Strawberry & Mint Parfait, RM 8.90 as my delightful dessert, a long tower glass full with strawberry slices and bread cubes, layered with mint-blended whipped cream. The taste was so match and the taste of strawberry and mint really blends together, yummy!!!

When we almost done, I couldn’t help myself but had bought a box of 4 muffin-size cuppacakes, RM16 which is one of my top desserts lists recently. I’ll swear, once again, to cut down my highly sugar dietery, sooner or maybe later….

Cuppacakes bought fr The Apartment, yummy, huh?

Kim-Chi, my hot darling

Well… it’s started as a regular weekday, we all talked about wat’s the most memorable taste even recently, blah blah… suddenlly Antonio popped out, “ I had Korean food last week wif my friends near Kepong area n I tell u ah, it’s rrreaaallllyy delicious!......” Hmm… Yup! I’ve long time never been to any Korean restaurant (due to indigestion of super-duper spicy food) So, with the risk of cirit-birit, I still heading to one of my fav. Korean-food spot, Dorea Garden, Mt.Kiara.

It’s located just between Maybank and fire station and is on 1st floor, U could easily see it cos they got a very big and greasy glass windows when u look up on the street. Normally, this place was crowded but waiters there still smiling at u and served us good.

Wow... boiling... cooolll...

I’ve ordered a bowl of ginseng chicken soup that contains of a whole spring chicken stuffed ginseng, several chinese herbs and glutious rice boiled in creamy chicken soup (too bad i didn't take any pic down cos busy makan) and last but not least, their famous KIMCHI pot for 2 pax.

The ginseng chicken soup is sssooo tasty and I’m sure I’ll go back, again, again and again… etc. About that kimchi pot, what I say is … hmm… It’s freaky HOT & SPICY!!!! Holyc**p! I almost burnt my tongue when i consumed it. The taste just like the whole jar of kimchi, wif hot soup and pork, mee, veggie and “Lin Go”(sticky rice puff). I hardly can eat a whole bowl, and eventually the whole pot Kenneth finished it, seriously! ! (As picture)

Isn't it BIG POT??!! Yummy, n i can finish it, trust me...

When I’m done this yummy “ka-sa-ha-me-da” dinner, I ended up that whole nite is nothing but dreamed about a whole ginseng chicken flowing around above my head… (I won't eat u, again, i promise, i crossed my fingers...)

Luxury Weekend

It been rained continuously these few days (hated it cos all my wet clothes still hanging outseide n dunno when it's going to dry!) Luckily, it’s a sunny day on this Sun. The highway was clean n dry when I’m back fr Sban.
So, we decided heading to KLCC to have our dinner. Before reached KLCC, we passed by a new show unit “Suria Stonor” by GLOMAC at Jln Stonor, (Not far fr Japan Embassy) and decided to take a peek. The Show unit were really breathtaking, nice n cozy, I almost fell in love to this place until I asked about the selling price, the agent once told me that “About 800 something”, (Price + geographical location = not bad for selling RM 800,000) When I verified once again, he said, “Opps, no… it’s RM 800 per square feet,…” WTF!! The smallest Deluxe unit is 3000 psf and it costs like 2.5 mill and the average price for Penthouse there is 9.5 million!!! Ohmigod, if I dun eat and pay bills, I still need 40 yr to save $$ for this Super-Duper-Luxurios House!!

This is the living room display, it combines with living + dining room. It's the nice deco i ever seen b4 :)

After this big thunder hitted me, I realize I'm hunger for nice food to fill me up before I got fainted. So, we went to Chili's as our best choice that night. We ordered some few drinks and a bottomless totilla chips (cos it's unlimited refillable!) and bottomless soft drink too (wat a kia-su Cina gal, he!) When it comes to main course, we each person ordered one meal n it can't even fit all in this small table. Food was nice there n if u thinking of healthy diet, this is not recommended for cos it's fattering, bad carbs n yet big portion.... But dun u just loved it so much cos bad carbs = great taste n filling?

This is how we end up ordered so much food together, we had steak, chicken salad, burger n country fried chicken, last but not LEAST... A bowl of bottomless tortilla chips w/ salsa n beef-cheese tipping (RM11.95)

See, how blessed we r to eat the all these food, but... karrent (left) only finished meat; me ate half of chicken cos too stiff n the whole mashed potatoes (damn nice!) Buttered corn for kenneth (picture taker) cos it's too full!! ( I ate almost all the tortilla chips w/ tipping n 2 glasses of Lemonade)

This is the legendary Country-fried chicken w/white gravy on top, comes w/mashed potatoes and a buttered corn (RM23.95) Good choice, huh?

We pay a visit to SkyBar after the hardcore meal. It's actually just around the corner of KL Convention Centre. U need to drive along Jln Kia Peng and when u passed KL Convention Centre, tat's a signboard stated "Traders Hotel" and turn to left. It's at 33th Floor in Traders Hotel, named one of the hippest place in KL recently. It will be so packed n hot during weekends. This is my 4th times been to SkyBar and surprisely, it's less ppl and windy tat nite (it's Sunday n only 10pm) We choosed to sit next to the glass n faced toward KLCC view.
With 3 glasses of wines, i started to feel tipsy and everything surrounded me looks creamy n foggy, but still the atmostphere was damn nice n u actually can see the whole (maybe 3/4) view. U really will re-visit this place , cos once u "pop" in, u can't "stop" it!!

This is how the pool looks like, it's only 1.17 m deep and u won't drown if u fall into it. The beverage price was ok, just like wat we pay on the grounded pubs w/nicest high view.

My first ever!!

Well... I've been waiting so long for this to come. It's been a while that i REALLY wanna create my very own blog regarding food gourment. Now is time for me to actually post some of my personal selection on food and nice hip places to hang out... I hope i can do it great without regret!!! Applause , pls!!!

Although I luv fine dining and of course healthy food so much, i still addicted to fast food... dun ask me y, cos i'm lovin' it!!

On this year Jan, i went to HK for a weekend visit to my bf, kenneth and he brought me to this sleepless Mongkok for a quick bite. Literally, we decided to go McD and see wat we can get there. It's almost near Chinese New Year, McD have launched this cool meal exclusively for CNY. So... beside my long-time lover, "Prosperity Beef Burger", i got a new comer called "Curry Pork-chop Burger"!!!

It comes wif a cup potato wedges ( yup, it's not fries), a soft drink, n u can add a bowl of lobster soup just HK1.99 (it's actually have fews lobster meat in it!) And if u pay another few bucks u can get a cutie softoy tat can hang on car mirror etc. So i forced my bf to buy another meal so i can have two!! yayaya... Ops.. and free a packet of CNY ang pows, cool...

My fav band, SoftHard has become the McD spokeperson for this CNY campaign. I love it so much, so wanna grap this cup bk to M'sia but they didn't give me a new cup unless i have to buy a new drink :( (apa lah!)

This is how the burger box looks likes, it comes into 2 sauce tat u can choose on ur pork-chop which is "curry" or "teriyaki" .

So, I finally finished the whole set of meal, n wow... i can't believed it's actually quite filling and tasty, besides i can get free ang pow too :) . Each pack of this ang pows has their own Chinese Zodiac cartoon on it, so u can collect them all in 12 packs, but i can't eat the whole 12 meals within 3 days, tat's y i only got 2.

I wondered will it be in M'sia for this "special" meal, but too bad it won't!! It's non-Halal food aii... So, as u know, i guess we still stick on our "Beef or Chicken Prosperity Burger". Ai..Ya!!
